Scotland Week is a celebration of Scotland in North America. Thousands of people come together to celebrate all things Scottish and reconnect with their Scottish heritage. Part of the celebration is the National Tartan Day parade.
2018 marks the 20th Anniversary of National Tartan Day which recognizes the contributions made by Scottish-Americans to the United States. In the early beginnings, two pipe bands and a small but enthusiastic group of Scottish Americans marched from the British Consulate to the UN. Now 20 years later, the parade has grown to include hundreds of pipers, thousands of marchers and many more thousands cheering from the sidelines.
We invite you to join Saint Andrew's Society of the State of New York for its 20th National Tartan Day Cocktail Reception on April 5th and the Kirkin' o' the Tartan service and Pre Parade Brunch on April 7th. To register for these events, please visit our website.
