Tartan, the beloved symbol of kin, clan and nation to the Scots, has evolved into the one of the world’s favorite fabrics. Join Jeffrey Banks, co-author of Tartan: Romancing the Plaid, and fashion designer Michael Kaye, the “Bonnie Prince of Tartan,” for an illuminating presentation tracing tartan’s humble beginnings to its current status as the ultimate emblem of great taste and high fashion.
The Albany Institute of History & Art presents on the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton as Immigrant, Financier, Lawyer, Political Theorist, Soldier and husband. A Reception will follow hosted by the St. Andrew's Society of Albany.
