New York's Original Scottish Evening
The 264th Anniversary Celebration of St Andrew’s Day will be held Friday, November 20, 2020, a virtual event. Register today.
Join us for New York’s original Scottish evening and celebrate the best of Scotland featuring the Pipes, the Ode to the Haggis, Silent and Live Auctions and much much more. Meet our honoree, Helen E.R. Sayles CBE, a prominent figure in
industry and commerce who will be presented with the Mark Twain Award created to honor those who have had a positive impact on the Scots community around the globe.
All are invited to participate in the Silent and Live Auctions.
Proceeds from the auctions will benefit the Society’s charitable initiatives in the United States and in Scotland. New York’s oldest charitable organization, established in 1756, Saint Andrew’s Society provides assistance to fellow Scots,
the elderly and families in crisis. Each year, the Society provides graduate level scholarships to five scholars. The Relief Fund 2020 helps those adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Society supports activities that contribute
to the goodwill and understanding between Scotland and the United States.
This year’s event is an opportunity to introduce the Society to family members and friends who have not had the chance to attend in previous years. All
are encouraged to wear Highland Evening Dress or Formal Attire.
