Barker Emergency Fund

The primary focus of the Barker Fund is the assistance of elderly Scots and their descendants. The Almoner Committee has been granted a yearly stipend to supplement its current program budget and to allocate emergency disbursements.

The Saint Andrew's Society of the State of New York established the Barker Fund in 2014. The fund, formed through the generous posthumous contribution of one of our members, Mr. Charles S.P. Barker. His bequest to the Society is to benefit communities or populations in need, especially the elderly and those of Scottish descent.

If you know of an elderly person in crisis or an individual with urgent special needs, please contact the office of the Society addressing your inquiry to the Almoner of the Society, Josephine Campbell Dobkin.
