We are Charity, Scholarship, Fellowship

Our organization is comprised of members of Scottish descent who have common interests in helping fellow Scots in need, supporting educational scholarships and children’s hospitals, along with maintaining the connection to our common Scottish heritage. We have a long history, 268 years, of helping others and have included many luminaries as members such as Alexander Hamilton and Andrew Carnegie. Download the Annual Appeal 2025 brochure here.

Almoner's Program

The Almoner's program has constituted nearly all of the Society’s philanthropy for 268 years.

Scholarships

Initiated in 1956, the Scholarship program now awards five graduate level scholarships each year.

Children's Hospitals

The Society's support for the New York-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital and Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow is ongoing.

Scottish Cultural Heritage

Proud of our Scottish heritage, the Society supports the preservation of cultural traditions, historic sites and monuments.
