2024 - 2025 Scholars
We continue to have the privilege of awarding scholarships to a group of exceptional students. This year's Macmillan Scholar is Isabel DeVito who graduated from Colorado University with a Bachelor of Science
in Organismal Biology and Ecology. Our second US scholar is Thea Kendall-Green of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Linguistics and a minor in Computer Science. Our third
US scholar is Edban Donald Watt of the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Economics. The selection of the UK scholars
has been finalized. Only one of our final candidates was able to accept our scholarship. Eilidh Innes is a graduate from the University of Strathclyde having earned a Scots Law (llb) degree with honours. The Society
is pleased to support these four exceptional scholars.

Colorado College| University of St Andrews
Area of study: MSc | Statistical Ecology
Isabel DeVito is graduating from Colorado College with a degree in Organismal Biology and Ecology.
sabel DeVito is graduating from Colorado College with a degree in Organismal Biology and Ecology. She developed a love for ecology and conservation while exploring the outdoors
both in the Pine Barrens of her home state of New Jersey and on the moors and beaches of Scotland’s Outer Hebrides where she grew up visiting her grandparents each summer. She has
continued to pursue her passion for wildlife and worked on pine snake, marmot, and owl research in New Jersey and in Colorado. While conducting her senior thesis research using game
cameras to study carnivores in the Rocky Mountains, she became interested in learning more about advanced statistical modeling for wildlife population ecology. She will be attending
the University of St. Andrews next year and earning an MSc in Statistical Ecology. She is profoundly grateful for the support of the Saint Andrews Society of New York, and can’t wait
to deepen her connection to her culture while advancing her analytical skills for wildlife conservation.
